IT'S A JESUS KIND OF MORNING
Years ago I wrote a church newspaper and one day God said to me: "Instead of looking out of the window to see what knid of day it is, why not look in the Bible to see what kind of day it can become?"
GRANDMA, WE STILL MISS YOU
Grandma Marie Mincks was a very good Christian, and after she went to Heaven I wrote this. This is always requested at Mt. Etna Baptist Church where she was a member. Over the years, many hearts have been touched by this song. Teresa sings with me on this one.
I SURE DO WISH THE PREACHER COULD PREACH
I get to poke fun at everyone in the church with this one, especially the preacher. If you listen to the chorus, there is a message there about listening to the sermon.
AIN'T GOD GOOD
I know it isn't the best way to say it, but AIN'T GOD GOOD?
I LOVE JESUS
I have always called this one my "love song for Jesus." He is the most important person in my life.
BUDDY THINK AGAIN
My late Mother asked me one day to write about a problem we have in America. If you Read Romans chapter 1, I think you'll know what or who this song is about.
TELL THE FATHER GOOD MORNING
What better way to start the day than by saying "Good morning Lord?"
I WILL LIFT UP MINE EYES TO THE MOUNTAINS
This comes from Psalms 121. Why not turn there and sing along? Teresa joins me on this one.
MY FAVORITE FRIEND
WQe all have various friends in our lives from casual acquaintances to best friends. My best friend happens to be Jesus.
I'M GONNA SEE MORE IN HEAVEN
We were driving late one night and passed through Seymour, MO. Thus, the idea for this song was born when I thought about how finite we are on earth in comparison to what Heaven is going to be like. Teresa sings on this one too.
THE MAN WHO FOUGHT THE FIGHT
One time a very faithful man passed away while in church where I was the music director. This song is for him and all other faithful Christians who are serving our Lord.
WITH THIS RING
I wrote this song when Teresa and I were married on February 29, 1980. This had to be on my first CD.
